Finally, A Way to Let Go of What’s Troubling You
I get some of the best ideas from the people I coach! But first, let me start with a story and you’ll understand why this insight is so important to me … and could be for you as well.
Someone I love dearly and used to be close to is ghosting me. The saddest part for me is that I don’t even know why!
As a coach, relationships are so important to me. I try my best to maintain good relationships and open up dialogue when communication has gone awry. I’ve tried to do this, in various ways and at various times, to no avail.
It’s been so hard for me to accept that I can’t fix this … especially given the work I do as a coach.
I’ve tried to let go and move on, but it’s been a real challenge.
Have you ever been in a situation where you need to let go of something, and, as hard as you try, it just keeps rearing its head? I bet you have. We all have.
As much as you want to let go, something seems to be holding you back, no matter how many different ways you try to approach it.
And then, I heard this quote from my client who read it on someone’s leadership profile, so I don’t even know who to attribute it to.
Let go or be dragged!
Oh, now that’s a different take on it. If we don’t let go of the things we’re holding onto, we’ll get dragged.
So now, when that situation comes up, I just remind myself of this quote, and it opens up a whole new place of freedom and relief for me.
I hope it helps you in some way too.
Love,
