Heartwarming 9 Second Video Will Impact You
In life, we’re often faced with situations where we simply need to do what we need to do. As a life coach, I talk with people a lot about what they want out of life … their dreams and aspirations. But I also help folks cope with the curveballs life throws at them … many of which are things they don’t have that much control over.
It might be a case of parents having to care for an autistic child.
It might be family members or friends having to take care of someone who’s sick, injured or simply in a bad place.
It might be kids … who are often becoming seniors themselves … finding themselves in a situation where they need to care for an aging parent or relative.
The reason I’m focusing here on caregiving will become obvious as we make our way down the page.
And those are just some obvious examples, focused exclusively on commitments you never exactly signed up for.
Nobody really wants to have to do these things. But we do.
Why? Is it out of a sense of obligation? Sure, that’s always gonna be part of it. You don’t just turn your back and walk away when someone really needs you … although some certainly do. You stand and deliver, because it’s the right thing to do. Simple as that.
But I’d like to think there’s more to it than that. I’d like to think it’s not just an expression of duty. It’s an expression of love and solidarity, an acknowledgement that we’re all in this together and we’ll be there to help each other when we can.
I’m sure I’m misusing the term, but this readiness to support those close to us in times of need feels almost instinctual to me.
Well, if this nine second video from the animal kingdom is any indication, maybe it is.
It’s just two cats walking. The story has it that the black cat is blind and his companion never leaves his side.
This isn’t just togetherness. It’s a bond.
No one had to present the gray cat with a choice or tell the gray cat what to do.
It’s just a heartwarming example of what it means to be there, even when you might have chosen a different role for yourself in life.
But the gray kitty didn’t really have a choice. He or she was needed and that was pretty much all there was to it.
How could it be any other way?
It couldn’t.
God bless all of you who are there for the ones who need you.
There is no higher expression of love.
Love
Denise & Tom
